Cupi2 Project

The Colombian Educational Computing Award was created by the academic community of Ribie-Col (Red Iberoamericana de Informática Educativa - Nodo Colombia) in 1990 and it is a recognition made to research groups, researchers, professors and students for their persistence and effort to contribute knowledge and innovations to the education.

It is a motivation for the academic community to continue providing a reflective educational practice, digital educational resources and knowledge as a product of the cientific research.

After the evaluation by 10 international juries, four of the 30 proyects that attended to the call in 2009 were selected as finalists. The authors presented their projects to the judges and asisstants of the 10th Forum of Educational Computing Researchers that took place on September 30, October 1st and 2nd. 

Once all of the projects were evaluated by the Brasilian, Cuban and Peruvian judges, the project Cupi2 - An Integral Solution to the problem of Learning / Teaching Programming, the Software Construction Group (TICSw) of the Universidad de los Andes received the first place in the 10th Educational Computing Award, due to the academic and research quality, the incidence and social responsability and the number of students and professors benefited to the date.
